flamingos, candy & bourbon

Last week we attended a rad wedding in a pub in East London.

The couple owns/manages a club in East London and decided to invite basically everyone, that has ever been a guest at the venue. It was fantastic. The place was overly decorated with pink, flamingos, they had a candy buffett, and a really rockin live band. Even if thats not my style at all, the atmosphere was great. Candy and bourbon is a really great combination by the way.

Note to self: I have to have a candy buffet on my wedding! Check out the more pics of this wedding on SAVOIR weddings. DID I MENTION HOW MUCH I LOVE LONDON ?

...and weird on top!

Liv loves the messy look also for brides! What about you? Do you prefer sleek or messy hairstyles?

P.S: London is fantastic! British Brides, please get in touch for wild wedding dresses! Blushless now also offers bespoke designs!

About this mix... My name is Ari. I work as a DJ and split my time between New York City and Boston. I am often booked to DJ at weddings in which the couples are looking for a very eclectic and distinctive mix of music. Recently, I was thrilled when a couple asked me to come up with a mix of retro french pop songs for their cocktail hour (one of my many record fetishes). Here's a mix of some of the sultry, sexy french records I played from the likes of Bridget Bardot, Serge Gainsbourg and France Gall. If you're curious to hear some other mixes, I have a couple websites: http://www.beattrainnyc.com/ and http://www.beattrainproductions.com/

lanvin is kicking ass

lavin2010campaign

When I saw the photo shown above for the first time in a magazine, I couldn't help but stare on the page for about 10 minutes. There was something about it. Something real, something intense and more than just well photographed hot man in fantastic clothes. I was wondering about the wedding ring on his finger as well... After a little research about the campaign it became clear:

The photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who are a married couple, shot themselves for the campaign. Seeing him through the eyes of his wife and see the love story between them — makes the whole campaign so very emotional. Van Lamsweerde left all fashion statements to her husband and appears nude.

I love projects of artist couples! And always have.
