The suit called Abbey Road

Dave was in need of a new super cool suit for an upcoming business trip and I have been totally thrilled to join him on the suit shopping tour. Really what I needed to lift me up and relax for a few hours from job hunting. Though I usually try to find smaller more independent brands, it's not too easy when it comes to suits, plus: our time was limited. We only had one afternoon to find the wonder suit. We couldn't have found a better more suitable piece. Fit, style, color everything was just right. So you grooms-to-be out there, check out Paul Smith for rad suit designs. And their staff in their flagship store was super helpful and great as well.

How to wear a bikini in winter

I just received this stunning Quilted Bandeau Set by Mouille. The talented designer of Mouille that I featured on my blog before here sponsored this glamourous piece for me to review.

It's rad. As a designer myself I can tell that the quality of the fabric as well as the production is excellent. It's been ethically made in India and I love to support extraordinary emerging designers. This item is from the brand new 2011 collection. I totally dig the nude color. The only problem: I want to wear it straight away. (and the current temperature in London is about 12degrees) Maybe I should match it with my new vintage camel coat? And fake fur hat?

a week full of surprises!

Liv loves surprises. Most of the time they are good ones and keep life exciting. This week has been a tough one, I lost my dayjob a little earlier than I had planned. That created a panic attack and major mind chaos. I also lost my favorite ring, that my grandma gave to me: A real golden beauty with a timeless art deco appeal and a diamond. But then there are good surprises, like that my man stays calm and strong in shitty situations and proved to be a proper rock. The holiday plans are screwed, and I just got an amazing beach bikini, but with the job situation it looks like we have to cancel the holiday, I was so excited about. I couldn't find time for my new writing project either. So: My dear readers, whoever knows a contact for any suitable job for me in London, please feel free to email me!

how to overcome hibernation mode

Summer is over. My body starts to get into hibernation mood. When I get up in the morning it's still really dark outside. But there is always coffee... The other good news are that there is an exciting new blog project coming up. The ladies of Artschoolvets, a cool Berlin based group of artists, designers, musicians etc. are about to launch "this is Jane Wayne" the female counterpart of the main website. I am more than happy to follow their invitation and join the cool ladies behind it. I will keep you up to date about the launching date. I have to push my self now to get out of hibernation mode, to get the print look books done and preparing for sales and production. Get started with the new blog....and finding myself some cozy winter clothes. I hope to work with lots of great brides this season and I am already really looking forward to create fantastic styles for them!

All I've ever wanted...

MACHA is still one of my favorite jewellery designers. I wrote already about some rocking rings by Macha a while ago here.

Her wedding/engagement ring collection is just so cool, that I have to mention her again. The Mackenzie Ring for example with its 5 spiky black diamonds that were set upside down along one side for a glamorous alternative to a stud. I would totally want that one as my wedding band. Possibly with grey diamonds? Black diamonds? Upside down? She is a genius! That's why she offers equally stunning rings for men. And I totally want the Rockwell Ring as engagement ring. For me customized with a yellow gold band and a white gold "rock" Look how rad the different styles are looking together: here The Mackenzie would also go with all the grey diamond designs, that I loved so much and wrote about here.
