time for new shoes...

I have been in "need" of fabulous new shoes. Being a busy bee at the moment and the whole day on my feet I should better go for trainers or some sort of healthy shoe. I usually don't like compromises either. But hey, I have to grow up or at least sometimes make a grown-up decision. Just in case you are in the same boat, I have a shoe hybrid recommendation for you.

These heels are comfortable, but they are making your legs look loooong. Might be good for dance-loving-brides(-maids) as well? I got my new heels from very.co.uk because of my moving chaos situation I haven't found the time to go shopping lately. (hooray for online shopping!)

Happy hair days...

Shortly after my last professional hairstyling course, I was looking for the best styling tools, to use on my clients as well as for myself. I got really lucky to get the chance of reviewing a pair of the famous ghd hair straighteners. Most people agree that they are the best on the market, but I have never used them before. This week I got sent a really chic box with the "GLAMOUR" version of the limited edition "Iconic Eras Of Style" stylers. Including a heat resistant black satin bag, two sectioning clips, a styling look book and the ghd Gold Classic styler. Not only was I impressed with the packaging and design of the product, it was really professional and safe to use. The styling was super fast and easy. The styler tells you with a beep sound, when it's ready to use and will also automatically switch off if not used for longer than 30 seconds. I will definitely use this for my bridal hairstyling! The styler set mentioned in this post is available for 129,00 GBP. If you are interested in the award winning ghd products check out their website.

My dream home

image found here

My first dream house was the "VILLA KUNTERBUNT" which is the house of Pippi Longstocking. When I was 4 years old I was obsessed by her, she had it all. A big house without parents, cool pets, cake for breakfast, a huge box of gold coins and good friends.

Today most inspiration for my dream home comes from The Selby, where most houses actually do have a lot in common with the Villa Kunterbunt. The site is so addictive and always creates big house-envy. But I am getting closer to my dream home, step by step. Our living situation will improve drastically next month. We are moving house and just found a fabulous BIG flat in the same fantastic old factory building. We will be sharing with a couple from Paris, très chic. And guess what? My new flatmate is a vegan baker! YAY & YUM. What does your dream home look like? And is it a long way to go?

London in Love and the Royal Wedding Mood

This dress is a dream, right? And so is the whole picture. Speaking of beautiful brides: I did enjoy the royal wedding a lot. Champagne for breakfast and attending the Wilton Way Street Party, here in our neighborhood in East London, it was the first real summer feeling day. And the princess did look stunning- no doubt.

And yes! It did get me in a real wedding mood. I wonder if there were more engagements than usually lately!? I was close to purpose...(was it the champagne for breakfast?) I mean my man is fantastic at all times and I don't need a royal wedding to remind me of that, but the kitschy and great festival atmosphere here in London would have made a great setting. If I had only prepared better and organized a ring ; )

However: I am feeling back to my sparkling best and full of power for upcoming projects.

A bridal make over with Josie

Last week on a sunny day I met up with the fabulous Josie from Savoir Weddings. She just featured the first part of our bridal make up session and interview on my work with brides on her blog here. There is more to come... ; ) The stunning pictures of us were taken by the talented Gaelle of Oh La La weddings. Summer is almost here and I am really looking forward to all the wonderful brides I will work with this season.
