A little bit of Luxury

I have written so many posts about hippie bridal looks, it's about time to show something more elegant more high fashion, which I love just as much. Have any of you ever checked out the great website The Lane? It's full of great inspiration for Brides who really love fashion, don't check the side out for the first time if you are having a busy day ; ) Be warned, you might loose a couple of hours looking at beautiful photos of beautiful weddings, styled photo shoots and great vendors. I found it a very great resource for me as a wedding makeup artist as well. I love my job so much I could easily get lost in making mood boards and pin boards for my work. There is always something new to discover, more to learn, skills to achieve and products to know about.

I found a wonderful pair of luxury shoes that somewhat match the vibe of the elegant weddings featured on this side. And we all love a good pair of designer shoes. These are by Carmen Steffens and I love all the detail: The little gold trimmings, golden buckle and the intricate pattern. There are many more sparkly gorgeous pairs in their range The colour makes them just perfect for weddings I think, but you will sure be able to wear these again and again and again.

Brides in Flats Part I

I have recently done hair & makeup for a gorgeous bride to be who was wearing the most beautiful simple little flat summer sandals. For an Australian outdoor wedding, they were such a great match, I absolutely loved it. This couple was so lovely to work with, I sometimes feel incredibly blessed about my profession. It's wonderful to meet people and getting to know their stories not to mention becoming part of such an important day in their lives. I am currently preparing my stand for One Fine Day the unique wedding fair in Sydney. It's coming up so soon and there is still some things to do beforehand. In Germany is a saying about being self employed, it means you are doing everything yourself and you are working all the time. I always found that to be very true. It's so rewarding at the same time. Anyhow, I got inspired to source some cute flat shoes for you, there are some more here. The ones below are by Jonak. Slip'em on and dance all night ;)

More Rosegold!

2013 is already an old friend, and yet it's just beginning. I have been preparing loads and loads for the unique wedding fair OFD. Our last weeks in London we spent designing new business cards for my makeup artistry, with my logo in rose gold foil print. Which I love! Above is a little snap shot for you. And while beside makeup and hair and I am always trying to source some great shoes and wedding shoe inspiration for you guys I came across some rad little sandals from Marc By Marc Jacobs in rose gold. I am really seriously thinking of getting these for myself. To match my card ;)

My wonderful Christmas Boots

I am celebrating Christmas in Summer this year. It is my first time. I am beyond excited about reinventing all new traditions and I have written about it here on my personal lifestyle blog Liv+Dave= I am dreaming about a homemade Pavlova and some cool Champagne. We are doing a little Secret Santa as well, and I am really looking forward to buying and wrapping gifts. My Mum just sent me those wonderful new shoes by Betty London, red ankle boots that look so festive in red with little golden zip. I really want to wear them for Christmas. Thanks for sending Mum, I love them, it's just...uhm...Christmas here in Sydney might be a little bit warmer than where you are in Germany. But I am sure I will get to wear them a lot, regardless. And now I am looking for a recipe to make the perfect Pavlova! Happy Christmas time everyone!
