Our second and last week we spend up in Amed, a little secluded fishing village in North-East Bali. Our villa had the most incredible view and I wanted to hang out in that infinity pool all day long.
The beautiful staff made us breakfast every morning and their banana pancake was the best!
While I am typing this there is icy cold rain here in Sydney...
Looking back at our honeymoon memories makes me all warm and fuzzy on this uncomfortable wet day. I will never forget those two weeks in paradise.
We took off on a two-week honeymoon to Bali right after the wedding.
I had been waiting for this break for a little while and was beyond excited to spend days with Dave doing nothing but drinking coconuts by the pool.
We started our wedding weekend in Bawley Point with a Polterabend, a really fun German wedding custom...
It's a celebration the night before the wedding.
The word "Polterabend" comes from German verb poltern (making a lot of noise) + noun Abend (evening).
The other week was definitely pretty crisp, but we wrapped ourselves up pretty well in real Winter coats and braved the clear night for a long afternoon walk through the city and a visit to this year's Vivid festival.

The feeling of the warm air, no need for socks and being able to dine outside at night... As it was our first time in Byron Bay, we played tourists and walked up to the famous lighthouse. The views were amazing and we even spotted some Dolphins jumping out of the water in front of us.
