The weekend was a little, uhm, more hectic than I had anticipated.
With Faye walking and being too busy for long naps....but somehow we still had a lot of fun.
First Steps, Fun & Food

I soak them up, these last beach days while I can. The same goes for baby cuddles.
Faye took her first steps and is really not slowing down with this growing up business.
She was so excited and happy with herself and keeps trying. 1,2,3,4 little wobbly steps before she lands on her bum or launches into my arms...

A little bit of this, a little bit of that... That's what life feels like right now for me.
Most days I am just really pinching myself on how amazing life really is...
I have been tossing up if I wanted to share Faye's birth story with the world or to keep it private.
It's her story too, after all...
But then I remembered how much I had been empowered & inspired by all the positive birth stories that other women had shared. Sharing these stories feels very important to me, especially since there are always so many horror stories being told about birth.
One word upfront: I wrote this story down when it was all very fresh. Lying in bed, typing it with one hand on my phone. It has not been edited nor been creatively written. It just the words as they came to me at the time. Real and raw...
