Summer rolls + Summer Salads & some summer running

We are counting the days to our Croatia holiday ( 6 more to go!)
The preparations have started with eating light and fresh food, going for regular runs,
ordering swimsuits and straw hats and just being overall excited.
I am quite addicted to amazing summer salads right now and keep trying mixing new dressings and things.
Friday was very special since I met my friends beautiful little baby girl Amelie for the first time.
Oh these big eyes... It was a very nice afternoon, of catching up with her mum Josie over coffee & cake.
This summer in London has been pretty rubbish so far and I am so looking forward to getting some sun.
Tonight Dave surprised me with a Asian dinner, including delicious veggie dumplings and summer rolls. We haven't made them in so long.
Summer rolls feel like a special dish because we made them on our first date, and also on the day we moved in together and started this little blog.
And I am just as excited to wake up next to this man every day- moving in together feels like yesterday and yet we have already done so much together.

London life - bits and pieces

This is a collage of bits and pieces we have been up to lately. The weather is all over the place right now. One day feels like winter the next like summer, it's a surprise from day to day.
It's reflected in the pictures as well, as you might have noticed (they don't really work together)
This week went in light speed. I can't believe it's Sunday night already!?
Here are the highlights of the week:
Learning how to roll sushi at our friends birthday party, eating all the amazing sushi too, making up a beautiful bride,  looking at Sydney real estate apps and dreaming about nice houses, ordering a new yellow swimsuit for the holiday, enjoying every sun ray that makes it over to us, starting the holiday countdown.
What have you been up to?

Other highlights of the week included preparations for our upcoming holiday, one of my recent fashion editorials got published here, discovering a very nice Japanese restaurant for Friday night dinner, doing make up for beautiful brides and amazing kids magazines.
But mostly realizing how happy I am right now and how much I am in love with my man.

A week of Summer

A week of BBQ's, swimming in the London Fields Lido , going for runs on warm summer nights, picnics with Vietnamese take-away in the park, laying in the sun, spending each and every lunch break outside, getting a little bit of a tan...
One week full of happiness and wearing dresses and Sandals.
One week of eating Ice Cream, Frozen Yoghurts and Salads.
Of dancing bare-feet around the house. One week of not taking enough pictures to capture all the amazingness.
Dear Sun, please come back out to play very very soon!

Diamond Jubilee and British Weather

The last weeks have been bright and sunny and purely amazing but just in time for the long weekend and the Queens Diamond Jubilee Parties, the temperature has dropped and it has been wet, very very wet. Boooooooo. Why oh why, dear June?
We have tried our best to keep up and attended the local street party anyway and it was fun.
Everyone put such an effort into costumes, cupcakes, and decorations, even the dogs were wearing flags.
It was very similar to last years royal wedding party on Wilton Way.
See our post from last year and here and a great video here, to get an idea.
When we got too soaked and too cold, we went for fantastic giant Pizzas at
Bella Vita
a warm and cozy restaurant on Broadway Market.
And after snuggled up to watch a movie, with loads of blankets at home.
