Dining Days & High Tables

Besides being out and about every free minute I also went dining at The High Table at the Hotel Centennial the other day, which was another wonderful event created by the lovely Nat from Eat Read Love. Not only was the interior absolutely amazing and the food delicious, the absolute highlight was to catch up with so many fabulous, creative and talented people.
I came home glowing and full of new inspirations.
And then we also had a romantic dinner out just the 2 of us, locally at Fish Face, it was possibly the best sea food we have ever had.

While I love my work dearly it's important to remember to take time to recharge.
It might seem on our little blog as we are hanging out a lot but truth to be told I have maximum 1 day a week of at the moment and I might actually be a bit of a workaholic.

I lately had a blast at work, for the Hello May Editorial in Issue Five, since this video is good fun, I made an exception to the rule and share some work with you here. Check out the rad behind the scenes video below! It was a truly wonderful team.

Dalston In The City & Sunny Doggie Days

Photos from Dalston by dear friend & pet photographer Julianna @ Two Guineapigs!
Dalston has grown into a fabulous little man, walking on the leash nicely at most times, and being just a joy to have around. He absolutely loves people and wants to say Hi to every single stranger on the street to turn him into a friend. I still feel so lucky to have a dog in my life. We have been waiting for this for such a long time and there is truly nothing better on a stressful work intense day then a little pooch asking for attention and reminding me to take a break ever so often.
On Sunday after going for a morning run, we all went out for a yummy Breakfast together in at The Book Kitchen in Surry Hills, and afterwords wondered around town checking out little shops and just enjoying the sunshine. I was beyond impressed with how well behaved Dalston was, he just seemed to be so happy to be out and about in the City, sniffing around new areas.

The sun has been out a lot lately, and Autumn has never felt better, it's almost Summer at some days and then there are cozy crisp nights on others.
Check out Dalstons smile below! (All pics below as usual our own & iPhone)

Art & Islands

After we went to the MCA we finally manged a ferry trip over to Cockatoo Island, where another part of the Biennale of Sydney exhibition has been placed!
The weather was just incredible and we loved exploring all the old industrial parts (probably a little more than the actual art of the Biennale, which brought us there)

We had a drink in the sunny The Island Bar and just felt we had the best day ever.
That sort of day where you are just can't get rid of that big grin on your face, and the happiness just tingles your stomach.
I am still crazy about this guy! I feel so lucky and grateful to have him in my life and for all the time we are spending together.

Little Dalston stayed at home with cone and bandage, as he just had a little surgery,
but by now he's all up to scratch and if you are into puppies you can follow him on Instagram here
if you like. He is just the most wonderful little man and we love him to bits!

We are a little slow to catch up over here these days, and hope you still enjoy following our journey!
We certainly love to have you here.

The Climb!

We climbed the Bridge! And it was fun.
While it was pretty rainy and grey while we were up there, it somehow made it even more of an adventure. It was quite special seeing our beautiful city from a different angle, and seeing the bridges structure up close. Afterwards we warmed up with teas and took shelter, until it was dry enough to make our way home. The weather has been one mixed bag over lately and we have been fighting a mean cold which seems to spread across the whole of Sydney right now.

Our dinners are therefore packed with chilli & garlic and we are drinks pots and pots of fresh ginger and lemon tea. Sleep is the best medicine and we are spending as much time in bed as work allows.
Resting feels espially good at the change of seasons, and it's the perfect time to make plans too.
One of my favourite things to do.
Little Dalston is currently also in snuggle mood as he had his neutering surgery and is currently wearing a cone and a bandage on his foot too. Prescribed indoor entertainment for all 3 of us.

Biennale, Movies & Visa + Happy FOUR years

Happy 4 years! The last four years have been filled with adventures, love and good times.
We have come far (litereally!) with our big move, but also personally and in our relationship.
I feel like I am the luckiest Lady on the planet, being blessed with such a great friend & lover.
I love you so much Dave, and it was amazing to spent the weekend together.

We took some time to celebrate and spend loads of time together.
At home in Sydney. It's Biennale and we saw part of it at the MCA, we had lots' of cuddle time,
saw the latest Wes Anderson movie (which will inspire us for a little while I think)
and we also climbed the harbour bridge! All the way up, we had the best view and we somehow even loved the rain at the climb, it made it so much more adventurous. ( Photos to come! ASAP!)
Regular refueling with delicious snacks and coffees made this weekend one that I will remember.
It's really the only downside of my job, that I am working weekends, while Dave has them off.
But it only makes the rare occasion where I do take a weekend off more special.
We also celebrated my permanent Visa, which came through the other week with a spontaneous Champagne & strawberry sunset picnic.
As the temperatures really dropped over here now we also got a new tea pot and lot's of yummy teas stocked up. I am a little excited about the change in season.
